Surviving Scarcity
Although there is much research on water scarcity in the Middle East, most infographics focus on Western aquifers. For an effective report on water scarcity, the CSIS Middle East Program needed graphics rooted in MENA contexts, namely: how does the Middle East use aquifer water, and what challenges do they face? From West to East
After researching the difference between Western and Middle Eastern aquifer layers, I was ready to develop the infographic and produce MENA-specific copy. I based the aquifer’s layers on research diagrams that studied MENA layers.
I also recreated a wastewater treatment infographic by Blumberg Engineers to match our art direction.
Using ai2html to make sure the graphics were readable at any screen size.
The project was highlighted by Shorthand CEO Ricky Robinson, whose storytelling platform we use. Very cool!
