Illustration for Boston Globe Book Review of “Roman Stories” by Jhumpa Lahiri.
My first freelance project! It was an interesting challenge not having a background. Instead, I leaned heavily on color and perspective to create depth, and a circular movement around the image. Silhouette was another big consideration, something solved nicely with the four lamps.
